PRK-FD

The PRK-FD, successor to the PRK, adds a velocity-sensitive weighted wooden 6-octave keyboard to the PPG System. In addition to it's predecessor's capabilities, it sports a floppy drive that allows it to play all sounds of the PPG System Library over the attached sound generation units. Also, it has a MIDI IN and four MIDI OUT connectors, which add remarkable master keyboard capabilities to the unit.

The PRK-FD uses a 68000 processor.

The mechanical construction has been changed against the PRK in various places; that leads to a higher stability, but, on the other hand, increases the weight of the beast to a height where it's already quite difficult for one man to carry it.
